I came across this book because I grew up in central NH, where it is set. I found it a fun, action-packed read (but language is not appropriate for children). The premise is unique and a bit offbeat, but it works: A team of public works employees on duty plowing during a major snowstorm rise to the occasion to help the local police bring down major players in organized crime. It would actually make a great movie.

"Great characters in a fresh original story. Once you pick up
The Public Works you better allocate some time as you won't want to stop reading." - Melanie, Ludlow, VT

"Finally a book written primarily for men. The R rated language may be off putting to some, however, but women will be missing a wonderful reading experience and should thoroughly enjoy the thrilling, sometimes very comedic storyline in The Public Works." - Jack, Springfield, MA

"A fun read! After a minimum of introduction the book moves very fast through a premise that I don't think has ever been used before. Expertly written. Try it, you'll like it. - Arthur - Omaha, NB
