PRESS RELEASE FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS -
Organized crime and small town New Hampshire clash in one unforgettable
night in Melonia History.
During the early 1960's JFK, along with his brother Bobby as Attorney
General, attempted to put a sizable dent in the operations of organized
crime. Whether or not this had anything to do with the President's
subsequent assassination we may never know for sure.
By the mid 80's the mob had successfully removed many of its sharp edges
from casual view. True, its roots remained at street level, but
increasingly it's power extended upward into corporate board rooms and
beyond.
But now more trouble. Well financed powerful foreign crime factions
were moving to American shores and bringing their violent ways along
with them. Sudden death on Main Street USA brought instant public
outcry. Something had to be done, had to be coordinated by old line
crime bosses lest major portions of its own house of cards come crashing
down in the wake of newly empowered law enforcement.
A Meeting! Many years ago such an attempt in upstate New York had
resulted in an embarrassing debacle as conspicuous black limousines
toured the small town searching for a particular address. Maybe.....
Certainly, this time they could pull it off.
